- Part Time CILA DSP
- Qualified Human Services ProfessionalAs a Qualified Human Services Professional (QHSP), in our Intensive In-Home Family Support Program, work in partnership with families to enhance family functioning through skill training for parents and the child. Position responsibilities include the development and implementation of individualized training and the in-home support needed to enhance the quality of life for families who have a child with autism. Duties also include the interviewing, hiring and supervising of Direct Support Professionals assigned to each family. Successful candidates will possess strong and creative problem solving skills, strong written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work cooperatively in group situations, and the ability to work independently. This position requires a flexible work schedule, including some evenings and weekends, with a portion of time allocated to direct support and modeling of best practice support strategies.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or other related degree, approved by department of Human Services; plus minimum of one year experience working with children with autism; QHSP certification required; supervisory experience preferred. Valid driver's license with good driving record, valid vehicle insurance and ability to use personal vehicle. - Manager of Family ServicesAs the Manager of Family Services, ensure the prescribed delivery of services for participants the Supported Parenting Program and the In-Home Support Program for children with autism and their families. Supervise clinical and direct support staff. The outcomes of these services and supports are intended to improve the individual’s functioning and self-esteem, and to promote their independence, productivity and integration in community life. Further outcomes include the development of healthy family relationships, and the maintenance of the family unit.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in the human service field or Bachelor’s degree plus 30 semester hours (or equivalent) post graduate work in the human service field. Three years experience in positions requiring progressively increasing management experience in the not-for-profit social service arena. Master’s degree and/or professional certification/licensure in human service field preferred.
